A Bit About Me
Born and raised in Patagonia, I moved to central Argentina to attend university. I got a degree in English translation and teaching. I settled down in Ushuaia, and fell in love with Tourism and Nature, so I couldn’t help myself… back to college to become a professional tour guide in 2013. At present, I juggle life with two children, as well as teaching and guiding in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I’ve travelled quite a lot around my wonderful, big country (lots of stories and anecdotes on Patagonia in particular), and a few neighboring countries; I’ve been to UK, Spain and France, and a special place on my bucket list: Antarctica!
One of the things that fascinated me about Tourism is that it allowed me to (and gave me the perfect excuse to!) learn more about a variety of areas I had always been interested in: from Geology to History, including Biology and Ecology. I was privileged to have scientists from the local research center as professors. I consider myself to be quite good at explaining and passing on that knowledge to visitors. In addition, over the years I’ve worked at different places, from my very first job guiding Beagle Channel navigations, all the way from taking school children to the Tierra del Fuego National Park as part of a local environmental education programme, to leading local birdwatching and Nature tours.
